Tutorial Thursday - Gift Card Holder

Hi! It's Sandie here today and I want to show you how I made gift card holders. These can be adapted to suit any occasion and are quick and easy to make.

Supplies:
2 3/4" x 11" strip patterned paper
2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Brown Cardstock
2 3/8" x 3 3/8" White Cardstock
2 1/4" x 3 1/4" Patterned Paper
4" x 5.25" Patterned paper (x2) for pockets.
Handheld Circle punch
Paper trimmer
Scoring Board
Adhesives
Ribbon, Embellishments of choice

How To:

Using scoring blade on paper trimmer, score strip at 2 3/4", 3", 6 7/8" and 7 1/8". Set aside.

To create the front panel take the 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Brown Cardstock, 2 3/8" x 3 3/8" White Cardstock and 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" Patterned Paper and layer them up. Then add some dimensionals on the left hand side. Set this aside also.

To make the pockets for inside, take the 4" x 5.25" and score at 05." on the short side. Flip it and score at 1.25" and 3.75". One side will be slightly longer so that you can overlap to close them.

Cut away the two outer 0.5" panels leaving the one in the centre, trimming in the sides slightly with a scissors.

Fold in both sides, adhering them with red line tape or wet glue. Then fold up the bottom to close the pocket.

Punch a semi circle at the top of each pocket with a 1.5" circle punch.

Open the girft card holder and adhere the pockets to the centre panel.

Cut out a selection of embellishments using your dies. I've used Open Leaf Flourish, Decorative Corners (Set of 2)Rolled Roses Sm & Med & Rolled Roses Lge

I also created a small gift tag, the same size as the gift card, for a personal message.
Pink card is 2 1/4" x 3 1/8" and white card is 2 1/8" x 3" .  I added an eyelet at the top and threaded some twine through.

Embellish the front panel as desired. Adhere it to the longer front piece using only the dimensional dots added earlier - the shorter side tucks in underneath the front panel to keep it closed.

I also added some pink sateen ribbon, which I adhered at the back with red line tape.
