Tutorial Thursday - Mini Double Easel Card

Hi All,
Debbie here today with a fun little card that I call a Mini Double Easel Card. I am going to give you the steps for the one you see here but I would love to see some other versions of this too....

For the Base Card you will need.....
Cardstock
Designer Paper
Stitched Nested Circle Dies (the second and third largest ones)

For My Version you will also need.....

Flamenco Marci (coloured and cut out)
Lace
Pearls
Flowers
Using the template above cut out your card base. Also cut out a 3 x 4 inch rectangular piece.

Fold on the score lines so your card base looks like the one above.

Attach the rectangular piece to the front of the left had side to create the larger easel.

Cut patterned paper to fit the 3 card faces and mat with a complementary coloured cardstock.
Now comes the fun part - DECORATING......

Before attaching the panels to the easels I die cut, trimmed and attached teal pieces of the small lacy border to the outer edges. I trimmed off the bottom edge so the cut is not as noticeable. Add pearls to the base of each scallop.

Cut one teal stitched circle (second largest die) and one white stitched circle (third largest die) and glue together. Die cut one teal heart fan and attach to the circles. Die cut one white heart fan and gently mountain fold to give it some more texture. Attach to the top of the teal fan. Glue some flowers to the base. Attach this to the triangular section of your easel.

Using 3D foam pads attach Marci to the rectangular easel. Use extra pearls on the card base to hold your easels in place.

Attach a strip of lace and a large flower to the card base.

Die cut 3 teal "Love" words and layer together. Top with a white die cut "Love" and attach to card base. Cut the heart out in red and glue it in place.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and we would love to see your creations using this tutorial if you make any!

Tutorial Thursday-Telescopic Circle card

It's Sue here ,welcome back for another La-La Land Crafts Thursday tutorial.

Today I am showing you how to make a Telescopic Circle card, a great card for something a little different!
There a quite a few steps but they are worth the end resulting card!

Supplies you will need:
Tag and Label from Stitched Elements

4 1/4" Circle die
3 Co-ordinating Papers ( Have used Kaiser Tea Party Collection)
1 White Cardstock
Ribbon
3 Mulberry paper white roses
2 split pins
Piercing tool and mat
adhesives- Strong Glue and double sided tape

Bottom layer cutting
Cut the one 4 1/4" white card base, one 4 1/4" circle , white ring (3" and 2 1/2" stitched circle dies), 2 1/2" circle, 2 labels, 2 Heart doily borders and a 1/2" wide sentiment

To cut the ring,  secure the dies in place with painters or Washi tape, run through your die cutting machine.

 Middle layer Cutting
White 3 1/2" Stitched circle, Blue 3 1/2" Stitched circle, Green 3" Stitched circle

Top Layer cutting
White and Blue 2 1/2" circles, white ring (2 1/2" and 2" Stitched Circle dies).
One of each, Berry Flourish, Open leaf Flourish, Heart tree, white Tag, Label.
Loop of ribbon, Bow, 3 Roses (wires removed)

Starting work on the bottom layer.
Attach the green circle to the card base, add the Heart Doily borders, the borders should be even with the top and bottom of the circles.
Cut both tabs in half, snip the corners on the bottom on as pictured.

Attach the sentiment on top of the circles, trim the sentiment by cutting around the edge of the circle with sharp scissors

Add the 2nd cut label, layer the circle with double sided tape.
This completes the bottom layer!

The middle layer is super duper easy!
Attach all the circles with double sided tape.

Now moving on to the top layer.
Cut the trunk off the Heart tree.

Attach the label and tag to the circle, layer the tree top on top.

Attach the looped ribbon on the tree, then attach the blue circle.

Snip the bottom leaf and berry from the Berry Flourish

Add the white ring, the Berry Flourish and Open Leaf Flourish (Trim the end).
Attach the bow with strong glue or a small Glue Dot

Using the strong glue again, secure the roses in place.

This finishes off all the layers needed for the card.

Layer the top and the middle layers as shown, piece a hole and insert a split pin

Repeat with the next layer

Ensure all the layers are level

You are all done!!
